Fair trade products

We believe that protection and awareness of the environment are also a matter of what we eat, which doesn’t have to be any less tasty. In the contrary, we offer an original menu featuring: :
-
local produce, enabling you to discover the skills of local craftspeople;
-
Fairtrade products, giving producers in developing countries a decent return for their work;
-
biological products, for food that is not only healthy but also environment-friendly.
Here you can sample Trappiste and Chimay beers, biological products (beer, fruit juice, syrups, soups and snacks) and Oxfam products (fruit juice, tea, coffee, biscuits and snacks).
When it comes to snacks we have selected various regional products for you: Escavêche de Cendron (a type of marinated fish preserve), locally-made charcuterie, Chimay cheese and much more besides.

Picnicking is of course permitted at Aquascope Virelles. In the
recreational area you will find a barbeque, tables and
benches just beside the playground. You can also have
your picnic in one of the restaurant rooms specially
provided for this, but in that case you are asked to
take one drink per person.
